In the last few years, the kefir diet has not left the first positions in the popularity rating. The reviews about it are very, very positive. And this is quite understandable. It is not often that you come across a mono-diet, the main component of which can almost completely satisfy the body's needs for essential nutrients. Indeed, look at the composition of kefir - it contains proteins and carbohydrates (and carbohydrates of animal origin - which is generally very rare) and saturated fats, which the body needs to absorb fat-soluble vitamins and form sex hormones.
At the same time, kefir is a fermented milk product, which means that intolerance to lactose ("milk sugar" found in milk) will no longer be a problem. Kefir diet will allow you to improve the work of your gastrointestinal tract by introducing beneficial bacteria into the intestines (however, ifsuffer from ulcers or other diseases of the digestive system, then such a diet is contraindicated for you).
But of course, you have to understand that the content of proteins, fats and carbohydrates is not the only condition for a diet to be called effective and safe. As with any other diet, it is necessary to take vitamins, because by depriving yourself of certain types of food, you are depriving yourself of the vitamins and minerals they contain.
How much weight can you lose in 3 days, in a week, in 10 days?
I fully understand that this is the most important question, because before making any sacrifices, we all want to know what benefits we will get in the end. I will disappoint you, there are no concrete numbers, it all depends on what form you are in at the moment. There are at least 2 options here:
- If your height is 170 cm and your weight is 110 kg, then you have obviously accumulated 40-50 extra kilograms. In that case, you can easily lose 1-1. 5 kg per day on a kefir diet and lose 7 or even 10 kg per week.
- But, if you are a sporty girl who, with a height of 170 cm, has decided to lose weight from the current 65 kg to 55 kg, then prepare yourself for longer work.
In the first case, the weight will disappear quickly due to the loss of a large amount of fluid contained in the body due to the oxidation of visceral fat (it is the fat that surrounds the internal organs) and the simultaneous loss of muscle.
And in the second case, the body does not actually have excess fat. All that is there is a little subcutaneous tissue, which is a strategic reserve of energy for the body and which will be parted with only in the last resort. You should not count on kefir to lose all 10 kg in a week. Maximum 3 kg. Because your body does not have excess fluid, and if you do sports, then it will not give up muscles.
Kefir diet for 7 days and minus 10 kg?
A very popular question on the internet. As I already explained, such a result is indeed possible, but for it you have to be really, really big. I would like to approach the question from a slightly different angle: which version of the kefir diet is the most popular and why you should definitely not try it.
Today, the most common version of the kefir diet involves consuming one and a half liters of kefir per day. Also, depending on the duration of the diet, small portions of meat or vegetables can be added to the diet.
Let's figure out how long it will take us to end up in a hospital bed following such a menu.
We will consider the question from the point of view of calorie content. Honestly, I don't believe in counting calories, but in this case it will be the case.
If you have a sedentary job and don't move much, your body burns about 1000 kcal a day. He needs them to maintain brain function, maintain the functionality of internal processes such as breathing, blood supply, digestion and sometimes lifting a spoon.
100 grams of kefir contains 50 kcal, which means that if you drink 1. 5 liters of kefir per day and do not eat any more food, you will get a maximum of 750 kcal per day. And you need at least 1000 kcal. On which organ will the body begin to save without providing energy? I don't want to check this.
Yes, if you want to try, then, of course, no one will stop you, but if you drink only kefir for more than three days in a row, then you will continue to lose weight in the hospital under a glucose drip.
Therefore, if we are talking about the kefir diet, then you should not focus only on it.
Let's look at kefir diet options, which include the use of other products
Kefir diet with apple
A popular combination. But pointless. An apple is fructose, which is roughly the same as carbohydrates. And excess carbohydrates, as we know, is a direct path to weight gain. Eating apples with kefir does not give any cumulative effect. And the apple appears here only because it is the most non-allergenic and year-round fruit. You can also write about kefir diet with banana, pear or mango. But we are all more familiar with the apple. So they write about it from time to time, gradually turning it into some kind of super healthy weight loss product. And vegetables are much more effective in this regard.
Kefir diet with buckwheat
It's already warmer. Buckwheat is one of those carbohydrates that are called "long-lasting". They do not immediately give all their energy to the body, but do so gradually, without causing sudden spikes in blood sugar. In fairness, it should be noted that not only buckwheat has a similar effect. Both oatmeal and pearl barley and barley have the same properties, so you should not focus only on buckwheat, the more varied the menu, the better.
Kefir diet with meat
But this is not very good. As we have already said, kefir is a product of animal origin. You already get a lot of animal protein and fat on the kefir diet. There is no need to overload the liver and kidneys with the same. Moreover, the kefir diet can heal your pancreas (more precisely, the body will heal it by itself during the period of avoiding fatty foods), and adding meat will cancel out such a pleasant side effect. Therefore, you should not dilute your diet with boiled or even fried meat. Maybe just a fish. But very rarely. No more than once a week.
And now that we already have the theory, let's make our ideal kefir-based menu, on which you can last long enough to get the expected effect, without harming yourself.
Kefir diet. menu for the week
No, of course you can stay on such a menu for 2 weeks, and some even for a month, but practice shows that the most noticeable result comes in the first week. Then the effect decreases sharply.
Breakfast
This is the time when we can eat carbohydrates and nothing will happen to us because of it. That's why we'll eat porridge for breakfast. As we have already learned, it can be anyone. Buckwheat, barley, oatmeal. A stick of butter won't hurt at all. The main thing to remember is that porridge should be cooked from grains, not from an instant bag.
Drinks will be either water or unsweetened tea or coffee.
Lunch
Kefir. One or two glasses. To reduce the feeling of hunger.
Dinner
We will have vegetable salad for lunch. Ideally, it will be made from cabbage or cucumbers and tomatoes. It is a vegetable that contains mainly fiber to maintain normal digestion and does not contain starch, which is a fast carbohydrate. You can also add greens to the salad: arugula, sorrel, etc. A Greek salad would also be a very good choice. You can drink unsweetened tea or coffee.
Everything. This is where the turning point comes. After lunch, only kefir is on the menu. There is no need to limit yourself to certain parts and times of administration. We felt a headache and drank a glass of kefir. And it doesn't matter how many glasses you get a day. It doesn't matter what time you drink it. The main thing is not to be hungry. This is a very important point. Don't let your body know you're on a diet, otherwise it will deliberately slow down your metabolism and the effectiveness of the diet will plummet.
It is very important to drink plain water. It's easy to miss this point on the kefir diet. Therefore, set a clear time for yourself to drink water. Ideally, one glass right after waking up, one right before lunch and two glasses before bed.
This is all. The way forward depends only on you. As long as you can last on this, dare I say, meager menu, you can lose so much weight. On average, it is 3-4 kg per week.
Remember only one thing: no diet makes sense if after it you start eating the same way as before.
My advice to you is to gradually return to normal food after the kefir diet. Leave the vegetables for lunch, but add meat broth to it. Remove kefir from dinner, but replace it not with carbohydrates, but with protein foods: meat, fish, eggs. By gradually switching to a regular diet, you can maintain the achieved results and choose a diet that will be both tasty and healthy for you in the future.
P. S. There is no need to blindly copy what is offered to you as a universal recipe. Spend a few hours of your time, but create a menu that suits you. An individual approach always guarantees results!
